Remembering September the First

What's with the title? It's look like there's some fatalities or tragedies that happens on September 1st. While scouring for interesting facts about September, most of what I found were tragedies. Here are some of the Historical Events that I find in Wikipedia:

September is also the 244th day of the year (245th in leap years). There are 121 days remaining until the end of the year. In Harry Potter Series, during September 1st, The Hogwarts Express leaves London at precisely eleven o'clock in the morning, and arrives at Hogsmeade Station sometime after nightfall. The Sorting ceremony takes place in the Great Hall and the Hogwarts school year starts.

More than that, September 1st is also the day I turned a year older.
