Many things and many people in my life have mattered to me, and many of
these same things and people have also affected me in some profound,
meaningful, and permanent way. Regardless of this, however, there is
one person in my life who has done more for me than anyone else - my
mother.
It seems that almost everyone thinks that their mother is the best one, and they cite thousands of wonderful reasons
that make them feel this way. It is undoubtedly true that there are
many wonderful mothers out there, and they are all very important to
the people that love and care for them. Even though I believe that my
mother is great, I never mean to imply that she is better than other
mothers. She is, however, better for me. As long as I can remember, my
mother has been there for me. She took care of me when I was little
like all good mothers do, but the relationship that we had as I got
older was actually more important to me. As a child, I took the fact
that my mother was there completely for granted. What I admire about her is that eventough she had her hands full in running the family business, she still makes time for us. From infancy on, she has witnessed every step in both my physical and mental development. She teaches me how to walk, how to speak and how to be a whole person. She shares every hint of happiness or unhappiness with me and even knows a little gesture I might indicate. My mother has given me emotional support all the way and always trusted me no matter what had happened. She was the one who encouraged me to do my best at everything I do and to never give up if I’m facing struggles in my life.
My mother is the greatest. I can never found another person that can be as influential as she was in my life. She is the one who shows me my pathway to a brighter future and discover new horizon of knowledge in order to make my dream become a reality instead of just a dream. She is more than a mother; she can be everything in my life!
To a child's ear, 'mother' is magic in any language. |
