Aeden Joseph: A Guardian Angel

I first met Aeden Joseph when Labsie and I weren't yet an item. He showed me an ultrasound of his sister being pregnant with a pair of twins. He even told me that it was his best birthday gift that he will be receiving in the year 2010 and I was amazed at how he already love his nephews and how he was overjoyed at the news that he announced the news to the whole Makati office where we worked. I was simply flabbergasted!

Months before the twins were born, I was invited by Labsie to join his sister's baby shower. The agenda was for her sister to teach me how to make Buko Pandan. We were already sweetheart by then and it will be the first time that I would be meeting someone from his family. In order for them to like me, we brought clothes for the yet to be born twins and I attached a simple message for Ate Joy "Double the Troubles, Double the Fun".

The twins (Aeden Joseph and Ashton John) were born at St. Jude Hospital via Cesarean Section, which true to their surname Mayo (means "May" in Spanish) was born a day before May began which is April 30, 2011.

I began to follow the twins progress via Facebook. From time to time, when our schedule permits, Labsie and I visits the twins and play with them. I began to love them as if they too, were my family. I spoil them with goodies but not so much as I don't want them to grow up spoiled. I buy things for them that they need.

This Christmas 2013, I brought a table and chairs as our gift, to which it became their daily tambayan and I was overjoyed that the gift serve it purpose - bonding for the twins.

I was having a Christmas Party at office when Joey (Labsie's younger sister) called me that Aeden was with our Creator at a tender age of two. I don't want to believe the news at first. Why? I just saw him through Facebook the other day eating YanYan sitting at one of the chairs that we give them. I'm still planning to buy lots of books and crayons. In my mind, we still have lot of moments to make. I saw Aeden as one of my bearer when it's my turn to walk down the aisle. I saw them playing with my kids that have yet to be borne. I always pictures myself growing up with them ever since I attended their baby shower. But deep inside, I already accepted that Aeden was now an angel. An angel that has been called by our Lord. An angel that came down to us to became a special part in our lives, most of all to his parents to which he gives unconditional love and  unending joy.

Aeden will always be in my prayer. Though we are not connected by blood, we are bound by hearts and memories. You will forever be miss.

Workout Wednesday

I will be posting Workout Wednesday starting now!

I have a low metabolism that's why I encourage myself to do physical activities.

I started running Summer of 2010 then stop somewhere in the middle, then started running again, the again - I stopped.

However, despite all the "yo-yo" exercise. One thing is constant - I always EAT a LOT. So I became pudgy once more.

This time I want to stick around. I would always eat a lot, but in addition, I would also like to keep my body trim. So instead of lazing around after dinner, I would make a point to walk around our neighborhood.

My boyfriend was a consistent health buff, he would be my role model and my trainer. His interest evolved from running to biking to swimming and to doing all three. He will be having his first triathlon this coming February, and hopefully I would be able to document his race and put it in this blog.

As to me, I would stick to walking for now.

Resolution 2013

I've been absent from blog-sphere for many months now due to numerous mundane things that keeps on popping out (also because my phone don't support Blogger Apps yet). My last posts was on July 29, 2013, a lot of things happened since then.

I've been cooking again and I'm hoping that it will stick this time. I'm on diet. (Not the kind that you will starve yourself to death, the kind where I eat more vegetables than meat). I'm also trying to find my exercise regimen (hopefully I will be able to join a Muay Thai Class next year).

I also plans on taking cooking lessons when I have enough free time on my hands. Maximize my savings next year since I am not getting any younger. And invest in the things that worth investing.
